BILLETING
The Brighton Vikings billeting program connects our players with local families who are willing to provide a safe, supportive, and welcoming home during the season.

Welcome to the Brighton Vikings
Billeting Family
As we look forward to the 2025–2026 season, the Brighton Vikings will welcome up to 35 players from across Canada, the United States, and around the world to our community.
These players are between 15 and 21 years old, and their stay will run from late August to mid-March, depending on playoffs.
When these young athletes join the Brighton Vikings Junior A hockey club, they require a safe and supportive place to live. This is where our billet families play a vital role. Each player is placed in a local home, becoming part of the community and family environment.
What is Billeting?
Billeting is when a local family opens their home to a visiting player during the hockey season. These families provide a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment — becoming a “home away from home” for the athlete.
Why Become a Billet Family?
Billeting is a rewarding and memorable experience for families who want to support dedicated young players.
Many families look back on their experience with pride and lasting memories. In fact, strong bonds are often formed, and families stay connected with players as they move on to college and professional hockey careers.
Our Appreciation for Billet Families
The Brighton Vikings truly value the support of our billet families. To show our appreciation, we offer:
-
Season tickets for all home games, including playoffs
-
Monthly compensation of $800
-
A meaningful experience welcoming a dedicated young athlete into your home
