VIKINGS LAND ALL-STAR FORWARD ERGARDT

The Brighton Vikings made another splash earlier today, announcing the signing of all-star forward Timofei Ergardt ahead of the team's inaugural 2026-27 season.
Ergardt, a 2005-born forward from Chelyabinsk, Russia, registered 63 points (30 goals, 33 assists) in 39 games with the Durham Roadrunners last season.
"Tima is a dynamic player with an elite shot, who we expect to light the lamp regularly this fall with the Vikings," said Brighton head coach Dennis Sicard. "We know him, we know the work ethic he brings off the ice, and expect him to quickly become a fan favourite around town."
Last year, in his first campaign in North America, Ergardt finished top-10 in league scoring while playing with a hard-nosed edge in racking up 49 penalty minutes.
"Tough to play against, lethal on the attack, he's one of the elite players in our league and now he's a Brighton Viking," continued Coach Sicard. "This was one of our priority targets for season one, and we landed him."
Ergardt is the sixth signing made by the Vikings, joining forwards Yenri Jibb and Thomas Meena, defencemen Tayvon Spencer and Theo Revert, and goaltender Yaroslav Gurenkov on the team's inaugural roster.
Vikings fans have more to look forward to later this week, as details regarding 2026-27 season tickets will be shared shortly.
