VIKINGS LAUNCH NAME THE MASCOT CONTEST

Ahead of their inaugural season beginning in September, the Brighton Vikings are launching a 'Name the Mascot' Contest in search of a name for the team's larger-than-life, hairiest and helmeted fan.
Participating fans can win big, with the winning submission earning two (2) 2026-27 season tickets for all home games at King Edward Park Arena.
"We want to get fans involved — this is their team and their community," said Vikings president Tony Iezzi. "We can't wait to see the names the town comes up with!"
Fans will have until end of day on Tuesday, August 18 to submit their name suggestions; the final names will be voted on utilizing social media in early September, with the official Mascot Name selected the week prior to the club's home opener on Friday, September 25 versus Orangeville.
To submit a name, message the team on social media or send an email to tony@brightonvikings.ca.
Go Vikes!
